Knocking On Heaven's Door

Knocking On Heaven's Door

When god made this planet
He made it for us humans
When he made the first tree to the first lake
He had made sure that all his children were provided with everything

From the food to feed the hunger
To the water to quench one's thirst
He had made sure that there was immense
For no child of his was bereft of his love

But greed was something that corrupted us humans
From the greed of land to the greed of power
All this made them thirsty for blood instead of water
From a planet that sung in unison this was now a planet divided by nations

Nations made on ideas and ideals
Which were bereft of humanity
Where the unquenchable thirst of greed was still to be quenched
Was a place far away

The people came together to fight
With homes being bombarded
Families being separated
And the land turning red

How the almighty god cried each day to see his beautiful world
Now turning into a place where hell had been brought back from the ruins
With soldiers being bound by orders
Had to fight for the battle for others and kill the people who he never met

How one bullet pierce through the chest of a soldier
Yet he stands to defend his nation from the greed and power lusty people
How he makes a valiant effort to protect his land from the impurities of corruption
How he fights till the final drop of his blood has kissed the land he proudly defended

He just then lays down on his loved land
Just to wait for the god's angels to take him away
Just to see himself knocking on Heaven's door
Only to see the world for what he fought for suffering in hell
