"Et Tu, Love"

Et Tu

The thunderous night,
Accompanied with the clouds which carry the messengers of god,
Trying to sound an alarm to the world of the troubles soon to come,
Was it a nightmare or a figment of her imagination.

He used to trouble her heart,
Occupying a spot in her noble heart,
Just slowly poisoning her with his memories,
Flooding her mind with his thoughts.

Like a strobe in the night,
You hover in her dreams,
Only to be tormented with the guilt,
That threw you away from her life.

A conspiracy with god watching from above,
Was hatching from the egg of unfaithfulness,
As she met with him after a long time,
With her heart on her sleeve and his dagger in his hand.

With one profuse blow,
His heart became a victim,
With a gash as deep as the Grand Canyon,
And blood seeping as the gushing stream in the ocean.

His trust broken and his pride hurt,
Stood tall at first only to be decimated,
With the person who he trusted the most,
Was the one who killed his spirit.

As she tries to forget the nightmare,
That she lived,
The ghost from the memories still haunt her,
Her hands are blood soaked and her soul is broken.

Who she thought were her friends,
Turn out to be her foe,
As the dagger is in her hands,
With his dried blood giving it a rustic colour.

His voice now echoes in her ears,
With his eyes welled up as he say she raised her hand,
"Et Tu love" was all he could mouth,
The phrase now is like a reminder to her.

She touches her dagger to her skin,
Waiting for his ghost to come back to her,
And watch as life drains away from her eyes,
The blood now paints her apartment,
And her heart now beats like his forever.
