The Mask That Fell

The Mask That Fell

As I see this society taking a new shape
I see the things that this world had never seen
Even if they did, it remains unspoken of
How people can change in a single whim of a second

What if I tell you that everything is not what it seems like

What if I told you that everyone hides behind a projection
A projection of what people want to show to the world
A projection of the things they wished they were

Life is tough
As every second passes by
It changes the entire nature of our existance
Makes us question our life decisions

Life has many games and deciet is it's favourite
Where our emotions are played with, destroyed
And mutilated to such an extent that we can't think of using it again
In today's day and age only deciet can help you survive

People are around us
There for us only when they have something to gain from us
Life is complicated by the ones who play politics just to gain something mortal
This is the web of deceptions which no one can escape

No matter how hard you try to escape it
You get bogged down
The web is strong enough for you
Or you have been hurt back with the stab wound still visible

The people who we thought were heroes and have the heart of gold
Are the ones who are the villan and have the darkest of hearts
It is not the people in our lives that change
But it is their mask that falls

While almost all are trying to hide there masks to deciet
There are only a few who are throwing there masks forever
As it is not the deeds we do that defines us
But who we are underneath that defines us

The Ring

The Ring

When we were kids
We always had thoughts of how life would be
From the daydreams of a sucessful life
To the harsh reality

We all used to think that life would be easy
With everything almost within our reach
Just a little hard work and dash of luck
Life would be perfect

But who knew that dreams would be expensive
With the people running after the same things
The bar being raised every single second
With only love being the main aim

Who knew that loving someone can be a bliss and a bane
With many people still thinking about the ONE
the ONE who would open the gates to cupid's paradise
But do we ever find the one?

Love is always there for us
Hidden somewhere in this world
But the only villain being the timing
And timing is a bitch

There are times when you find love
And even the timing is there with you guys
That is the love which would last forever
Looking after eachother, being in there highs and lows

With that bond that is sacred
Strong till the end would be that love
Which would last forever
But what after that

Will it be there for your kids
When they grow up
Would they be able to handle heartbreaks
Or will they know what it is to live with something that they never have

Will our kids ever know the meanings of vows
The feeeling of being loved by someone unconditionally
As I sit here looking at the ring I gave to my wife
I would pray for my daughter who now wears the same ring
To have her chunk of happiness, the same happiness her mother had.

When Darkness Strikes

When Darkness Strikes

Blank
Every time I see you this sudden feeling
Surrounds me and there is nothing I could do
My life is filled with perils and darkness that you threw me in

This would never have happened
Only if I would have not had a fight with you
If only you could have not gone out that night
I wouldn't be here at this lonely hour

Whatever Midas had touched turned into gold
But whatever I touch
Withers away and dies
My life is now just a mere image of the man I used to be

I have been nothing but myself since you left
The weak and broken down man
Who is filled with darkness in every space that you have left
With my only support my biggest pillar no longer with me.

All my pillars are now broken
Decimated and destroyed
With only ruins of them left behind
But I never believed  that you would be the pillar that would fall down

Just like a house of cards
Now only ghosts residing inside me
The ghost of the man I was
The ghost of the friend I was
The ghost of the lover who gave his heart

Now all live inside me
Life can play in mysterious ways
The things that are meant to be your support and meant to make you stronger
Are the things that now have brought you to this mess and troubles

God how I curse you for stealing her away
How I curse you for bringing the misery in my life
If only I see a ray of light
I would then hope that the light shall strike
Till then I will live in the darkness that strikes.

Knocking On Heaven's Door

Knocking On Heaven's Door

When god made this planet
He made it for us humans
When he made the first tree to the first lake
He had made sure that all his children were provided with everything

From the food to feed the hunger
To the water to quench one's thirst
He had made sure that there was immense
For no child of his was bereft of his love

But greed was something that corrupted us humans
From the greed of land to the greed of power
All this made them thirsty for blood instead of water
From a planet that sung in unison this was now a planet divided by nations

Nations made on ideas and ideals
Which were bereft of humanity
Where the unquenchable thirst of greed was still to be quenched
Was a place far away

The people came together to fight
With homes being bombarded
Families being separated
And the land turning red

How the almighty god cried each day to see his beautiful world
Now turning into a place where hell had been brought back from the ruins
With soldiers being bound by orders
Had to fight for the battle for others and kill the people who he never met

How one bullet pierce through the chest of a soldier
Yet he stands to defend his nation from the greed and power lusty people
How he makes a valiant effort to protect his land from the impurities of corruption
How he fights till the final drop of his blood has kissed the land he proudly defended

He just then lays down on his loved land
Just to wait for the god's angels to take him away
Just to see himself knocking on Heaven's door
Only to see the world for what he fought for suffering in hell

You're in my Veins

You're In My Veins

Here as I sit today
Lost in my world of thoughts and dreams
With nothing besides me
But only you in my memories

Your thoughts torment me
It hurts me with every dream
That I have about you knowing that you are not there anymore
Forcing me to go towards a masochistic way of life

Only with a blood stained razor I sit
With a cut on my chest
And blood pouring out from every wound the razor had made
Only to make sure  the very existence of you is not there anymore

With every cut I have and every drop of blood that seeps through
Reminds me the pain you had caused me
By making me fall for you only to find myself affected by your absence
How I wish today to have never met you ever in my life

If only I had never met you
I wouldn't be an emotional wreck
Praying everyday to just bring you back from the sands of time
Now as the final drops of blood finding its way out of my body

Brings out my entire pain
My memories and my wasted years with itself
Never will I ever be the same old me
Never will I see you again

This is a curse to live with
Unable to find a way to throw your memories in a grave
With you only thriving in my memories
Make me suicidal with every breath I take

With only a small remedy to lock your memory away
Is the small openings I have made on my chest
Accompanying each drop of blood is every memory I had about you
With your last memory coming out with the last drop of blood that flows in my veins

Cigarettes and Stitches

Cigarettes and Stitches

Life is not all so difficult
With problems that we feel
Are just something that we made it ourselves
And blame our luck for the problems.

We all have just one life to live
With nothing we want to be left to regret
We all have one shot which is enough
But what is life for those who have missed their shot

What about the people who have lost a lot
Than with what they have had
Sacrificing parts of life which were far valuable to them

Their lives have been like a whirlpool
Where only their happiness sinks away
How can they think about the happy things in life
They are lost in their world of mystical memorie

Memories of their happy days where life was worth living for
When all the things that were there in their lives
Meant to lead to the path of happiness
Who thought that life will never be the same

With the things now lost in the sands of time
Only darkness is that which surrounds us
Will time ever help stitch our wounds
Or will we just be lost in the mere memory of the old times

Will we be able to get past it
Or will the cigarettes be our only lifeline.

The Day That the Sky Turned Red

The Day The Sky Turned Red

The day had just started
With people living their normal lives
Just like they did the day before
With no regrets on their minds

Life was so monotonous
It was just as boring as midsummer afternoon
With no such good thing to do
And people trying to fight with their daily ordeals

Being in school was a hard task for a child
With children coming with no will
Only being forced to go to the prison that we all thought it was
With the teachers giving an hard day

And life moving in its pace
Never had they thought what was to come was a tornado
With that the entire world would be the victims
And the future of the world will end

A gale of terror was flowing through them
With the future doing everything to protect each one
Slowly and slowly they chose them and made them the victims
The ones who would change the future would be nevermore

And the raven of death lurking over them
As each and every chirp of its claiming a new victim
Down they all fell like an old demolished buildings
Yet some fought to protect them but were charred by the raven

145 souls were executed just to please the devil
With the ravens still flying high
With the sky filled with tears shed and bangles smashed
With grief filling in the atmosphere
And sky turned red with the bloody souls
