The Ring
When we were kids
We always had thoughts of how life would be
From the daydreams of a sucessful life
To the harsh reality
We all used to think that life would be easy
With everything almost within our reach
Just a little hard work and dash of luck
Life would be perfect
But who knew that dreams would be expensive
With the people running after the same things
The bar being raised every single second
With only love being the main aim
Who knew that loving someone can be a bliss and a bane
With many people still thinking about the ONE
the ONE who would open the gates to cupid's paradise
But do we ever find the one?
Love is always there for us
Hidden somewhere in this world
But the only villain being the timing
And timing is a bitch
There are times when you find love
And even the timing is there with you guys
That is the love which would last forever
Looking after eachother, being in there highs and lows
With that bond that is sacred
Strong till the end would be that love
Which would last forever
But what after that
Will it be there for your kids
When they grow up
Would they be able to handle heartbreaks
Or will they know what it is to live with something that they never have
Will our kids ever know the meanings of vows
The feeeling of being loved by someone unconditionally
As I sit here looking at the ring I gave to my wife
I would pray for my daughter who now wears the same ring
To have her chunk of happiness, the same happiness her mother had.
