The Demon Within
The clock struck midnight
With the blanket over my head
All I could think of was
Will the monsters haunt me tonight?
With each passing second
As I reflect my life
All I think about is how those monsters would haunt me in my dreams
But the thing about monsters and demons are that they eat you alive
Is it me or does the whole world fights
The monsters and the demons of life
Funny how a mythical being can make us fear life
Or even petrifies us till the very soul in our body
When we were kids we feared the demons underneath our bed
Forgetting the demons that ruled this world
Were the ones who owned the soul
See our eyes, deep down you would only see the darkness
With nothing but a demonic gaze
It is not the monsters under our beds
We fear
It is the demon that lives within that we must fear
The ghost that leers in the darkness we fear
