"Et Tu, Love"

Et Tu

The thunderous night,
Accompanied with the clouds which carry the messengers of god,
Trying to sound an alarm to the world of the troubles soon to come,
Was it a nightmare or a figment of her imagination.

He used to trouble her heart,
Occupying a spot in her noble heart,
Just slowly poisoning her with his memories,
Flooding her mind with his thoughts.

Like a strobe in the night,
You hover in her dreams,
Only to be tormented with the guilt,
That threw you away from her life.

A conspiracy with god watching from above,
Was hatching from the egg of unfaithfulness,
As she met with him after a long time,
With her heart on her sleeve and his dagger in his hand.

With one profuse blow,
His heart became a victim,
With a gash as deep as the Grand Canyon,
And blood seeping as the gushing stream in the ocean.

His trust broken and his pride hurt,
Stood tall at first only to be decimated,
With the person who he trusted the most,
Was the one who killed his spirit.

As she tries to forget the nightmare,
That she lived,
The ghost from the memories still haunt her,
Her hands are blood soaked and her soul is broken.

Who she thought were her friends,
Turn out to be her foe,
As the dagger is in her hands,
With his dried blood giving it a rustic colour.

His voice now echoes in her ears,
With his eyes welled up as he say she raised her hand,
"Et Tu love" was all he could mouth,
The phrase now is like a reminder to her.

She touches her dagger to her skin,
Waiting for his ghost to come back to her,
And watch as life drains away from her eyes,
The blood now paints her apartment,
And her heart now beats like his forever.

Apart

Apart

With the rustling of the leaves,
And the heavy summer winds flowing,
In the middle of the night,
Throwing every particle of dust with disdain.

With us engulfed in fury,
Trying to fight one another,
With you trying to show off your villainous brilliance,
While I sit across you just to send you away.

You look me with your loony eyes,
Waiting for me to make the first move,
Only to make me suffer my first defeat,
Forcing me to find a way out to bring you down.

Who knew that the game of cat and mouse,
Can bring us close and understand each other,
The life we live had just took a different turn,
And as I trade a life for your freedom.

The two black holes now have collided,
With you saving my life by killing the only witness that could send me away,
Just out of awe and the need for my acknowledgement,
Clearing my name and taking the fall for me.

What is this between us?
This weird thing that we have,
This misguided love is enough,
To make us fall into a vortex.

All we do is just consume souls,
And crush it beyond existence,
But what is it about us,
That we are the one standing alone.

With us armed,
Standing at the edge of the cliff and the guns facing the other,
Only a small window to shoot and poof the one is gone forever,
But who knew that it would be me hanging on,
Just to the very thing that brought me here.

Those lifeless eyes that now see me bleed away into a different world,
See us metamorphosing into an aggravated phenomenon,
Trying to tear everything apart,
Just to realise that it is the evil that makes us different.
Like the enigma I stood and you being the paradox,
This is what makes us apart.

Man In The Mirror

Man In The Mirror

Final seconds to what I see as my demise,
The blood spilled around the floor,
Bullet holes telling a tale of its own,
With the silence being darker than the darkest hour of the night.

Bodies piled up as a mountain,
Waiting for the scavengers to nibble it away,
Laying here in waste with carnage all around I think,
Was it really worth it?

Trusting a soul which was pure,
Only to blame him responsible for the breach,
Rejecting every evidence of his innocence,
Forcing him, pushing him to the limit where he loses his sanity.

She neglected her heart,
Considering his kind-hearted innocence,
As a façade which he used to fool innocent damsels,
Breaking the very character that once defined him.

Tormenting his life,
By reminding him of the mistake that he never committed,
Only to become the pole bearer for his soul,
Leaving a cadaver for the world to witness.

With his pure soul now reeking of alcohol,
His life surrounded by the white syringe which he calls life,
It was just a ticking time bomb in the making,
Up till that night, life was just the same for him.

But his mind had another game for him,
Loading his Berretta only to strike down his maker for once and for all,
Shooting in his haze of coke infused vision,
Aiming at everything in sight only to be struck down.

With the shots delivered to the right address,
And the smell of blood hitting his nostrils,
He realised the remaining torturer left in the midst of the carnage,
it was the man in the mirror.

That eerie silence was disrupted,
With a shot that made a statement,
He fell on the floor like a rag doll,
Bleeding the venom in him,
Tainting the world with his ghastly act,
Fell the reflection of the man in the mirror.

Verdict

Verdict

Sitting here wondering my life,
Oblivious to the world that surrounds me,
The clock is all I am hearing,
And every second that passes my breathing becomes heavy.

When did things turn to such a picture,
That led us to be surrounded by these four walls,
Making the world question my intentions that fateful night,
Framing a picture after picture of everything what happened between us.

The darkness was everything that we fell for,
Neglecting the light that we emitted when we were together,
Avoiding the signs that told us to leave each other alone,
From a magic potion to venom our love had taken a turn to the storm.

Breaking us apart for good,
Only to connect us as parents,
Yet that small twinkle in your eyes,
Made my heart collapse.

Just like a fairy tale we came together,
Only to see if it would be love that remains forever,
Or if the hatred had captivated it's first victim,
Up till that fateful night we were together like a torn photograph.

With a small gash to your neck,
Decapitating you just for a sadistic pleasure stood the demon upon you,
Severing all the veins in your body to bleed out the hatred,
Caressing you as you take your final sleep.

The Black and Whites gathered around the home that we once had,
Seeing the gore outside the house of our memories,
Nabbing me from my slumber,
To make me witness the crime that I may have committed.

Presenting me to the world as your violator,
Without knowing the truth,
An year has passed away with you haunting me in my nightmares,
My fate secured on a piece of paper that the group of your peers holds today.

Forcing me to ponder if I ever did it or was it the demon inside me,
With each second the world looks at my face,
Eyes red, a beard unkept and the invisible stain of disgrace,
The verdict was sealed on my fate,
If I could ever breathe in the open or will I be able to breathe alongside you.

Shaurya

Valour(Shaurya)

Everyday a few wake up from their slumber,
Wondering the value that life holds for them,
Some do understand their roles,
While some choose to stay asleep.

The souls that are their to protect us,
Irrespective of what caste, creed, colour or religion we belong to,
Never have they seen their faces ever before,
Put their lives on the line for us,

Is this the valour that they talk about?
What about those who use their authority,
Just to bring control to a troubled city,
With peace and brotherhood being the epitome of progress.

The ones who use brute force and disregard the very foundation of a nation,
Only to bring in a life which is disciplined,
With only fear dripping down the eyes of the innocent,
Looking into their eyes and getting lost in the darkness that it hides.

This is valour for some and dictatorial for the rest,
Wiping the innocence away from the lives of the people,
The uniform which they wear has an insignia of their being,
Bringing havoc upon those who don't fear.

They think it is valour that they fear them,
While the reality is them fearing the demon that wears them.
Valour is not just protecting people,
It is the spirit inside the man that can do anything to protect those who can't protect themselves.Even fight his own.
This is Valour, This is Shaurya.

Battle Scars

Battle Scars

Blood seeping through the openings,
With the skin breached by the knives of treachery and dishonesty,
The veins gashed for the soul to break free,
Cracking the very soul which had been the definition of strength.

Friendships and relationships were sacred for me,
Pledging loyalty to them irrespective of who they are,
Who had a whiff of danger that was sure to devastate us,
Blinded by the love and loyalty I had for them.

With life being unpredictable,
Friends turning against you,
Planning and plotting against you,
Only to bring you down.

The ones I loved are now the ones who hate me,
With me being the most vulnerable around her,
Making her one of the conspirator,
Breaking my soul into a million fragments.

The strength within me loosening up,
Giving them a look at the chunk in my armour,
She stood there looking at me with love in her eyes,
Only to stab me in the back.

With eyes wide open,
In utter dismay at the friends that I lived for,
The girl that meant my life breaking me for them,
Turning out to be the first one to stab me in the back.

While putting my sieved body in the grave,
My friends turn up with their blood soaked hands,
To bid me farewell one more time,
Throwing the dirt with spit on my body.

With the rusting souls entrapped in their bodies,
Only to see them smiling at my plight,
Bidding each other farewell,
From a man the world feared only remained a cadaver with a million cuts.

Say My Name

Say My Name

With the window cracked,
And the dust entering the room,
The files and the pages twirling around the room,
Just when the I needed everyone the most, all I had was dust.

Sacrifice was all I did,
From the moment I saw you,
The position where I was,
Had handed me the world on a silver platter.

But I had to leave it for you,
Because you needed a self made person to believe,
With each and every step to the top,
Making me pant for my breath.

I guess this is how life is,
On the other side,
Where success is everything and how it defines a person,
Money is the new way to describe people.

Slowly and slowly I lost who I was,
From the nice sweet hearted soul you once met,
To an egoistic sick arrogant ghost of a man that you fear,
You had trusted me to be there to protect you.

You needed me to hold you,
And protect you whenever you needed,
Now here I am enshrined by the dark,
Asking you to save me.

With your love surrounding me,
And looking at me with your almond eyes,
The broken soul in me asking you to protect me from who I have become,
Because without you I would have nothing at all.

The tsunami of emotions hitting the shores of my mind,
With the flashbacks of the person I once was,
Fighting the man who I am today,
I see you laying besides me,
Saying my name.
