True Love Knows No Ending

True Love Knows No Ending

Remember the time when we read fairy tales,
Waiting to see a happy ending,
Imagining our lives in the story,
Looking for a way to see the happiness on the other side.

All it took one day for me,
To travel down the path seeking for that feeling,
Success and money were just materialistic things,
But the world only worked for this.

I worked day and night,
Just to build a corporation big enough,
To make the world bend to my wishes,
Poverty did take out the only emotion that I could sacrifice,
Happiness was the thing I sacrificed.

You and your love for flowers and the colours,
Had an impact on this black and white world,
You were the artist,
Everything else was just a canvas.

The colour filled room,
Did make me wonder who created this,
You were here busy with a handful of lilies,
That you forgot I had entered my suite.

From there on it was just a story for the ages,
You were just a lost traveler,
Seeking for a place to be called home,
While I was just a disturbed soul seeking solace.

It was only time that I fell for you,
I knew that you also felt for me,
Yet something was stopping you,
It was like a cell in which you kept your soul.

The man who owned you,
Mistreated you and made you suffer alone in this world,
Still called himself your husband,
Marking a bull's eye on his back with his skeletons from his past.

Willing to make you suffer,
And drown you in your guilty conscience,
Turned himself in for the crimes that were next to treason,
He knew he was innocent but took the liberty to chain your soul again.

You ran back into my life,
Asking me to help clear his name,
For whom I was the man who stole you away fro him,
Your misty eyes were like the piped piper's song and I was just a kid following your tune.

Searching every corner of the earth,
Only To find the answers in land far away,
A step on a mine was its cost,
It was like a barren land when I paid the price.

Three months later he was out,
Searching for you all over the place,
Only to be haunted by the ghost of his lies and deciet,
Trying to shackle the soul whic I had unshackled.

Attempting to cage the bird that I had freed,
You taking your final journey,
To search for my soul that became your home,
Becoming free from this mortal world.

True love knows no endings,
Neither did ours,
We did meet again,
And this time it was forever.

Lighthouse

Lighthouse

Dark enough to even make the ghosts quiver in fear,
I stood at the top of the lighthouse,
Waiting for you to come,
And end this saga for once and for all.

The wounds still fresh,
And the blood still trickling down,
Trying to figure out,
Where in this life that I have stepped a wrong step.

That night when I thought someone following me,
Like a bat, I could only sense something around me but could never see it,
A happy life is a myth,
That night just was an evidence to prove it.

Married since fifteen years,
Inseparable throughout the cyclones and the tornados that life presented us,
but it was one night that changed my life forever,
You had changed it for the worst.

Stabbed in the alley I saw him,
With lifeless eyes that could even make a corpse throw up,
the blood flowed on the floor as if someone had turned on the faucet,
His face was just blank.

Shuddering in fear I saw your message on the wall,
Warning me that you're gonna get me,
Bringing out the dead skeletons from the past and throwing them at the feet of the present,
I knew it there and then that it was you again.

Waiting here where it all ended or so I thought was the end,
I see you coming from long away,
Just to finish the chapter that you started,
With just a gun with one bullet in the chamber being my only form of defense.

But with one swift blow,
The gun fell far away,
Fighting for my life,
I tried to hit you hard enough,
Make sure you plead for your life.

Just like Poseidon's trident,

I found the weapon lying there,
Asking me to shoot you and to end this saga,
But who knew that it was just something that I would crave for this entire time,
To see you dead in the eye and shoot you in between the eyes.

One strike was enough to make your firm steps stagger,
As an alcoholic falls down on his bed,
That strike from the shovel nearby brought you closer,
To the bed of eternal sleep that you had made for me.

As I see you fall down from the railings,
Waiting to be the meal for the scavengers,
I could only fathom a life,
A life which would be a fairy tale only if you hadn't crossed paths again.

In Love with a Writer

In Love with a Writer

Fall in love with a writer,
They know how to keep the love alive,
Even if you are not,
People said.

I fell in love like how people do in stories,
Saw her near the bookstore with those big nerd glasses,
Trying to adjust her bags,
God! How beautiful she looked.

Just like a fresh page of a new book,
I just stood there transfixed to my place,
Wondering if she was for real or my mind playing games with me.

And then we met again,
Waiting for a train I stood at the station,
Saw you scribbling something on a parchment of paper you found,
Only for the wind to steal it away.

It flew into my path,
And we started talking,
Like the children following the piped piper's tune,
I was enchanted by your words.

Slowly and slowly we started hanging out,
I only was there to listen to your words,
And how beautiful you wrote,
You were my bestseller author and I was your favourite fan.

You kept me immortal in the tales you told,
And I was lucky to be there,
Today as I leave for a new path,
I can feel you around,

In that piece of paper that I keep in my wallet.
